Day 2 of INTERGEO 2026
The second day of INTERGEO 2026 has come to an end – once again highlighting the wide range of topics currently shaping the geospatial community.
One of the key themes of the day was Artificial Intelligence and GeoAI. Across several CONFERENCE sessions, discussions ranged from fundamental research and emerging approaches to the use of GeoAI in remote sensing and practical applications. The sessions clearly demonstrated how AI is increasingly transforming the way geospatial data is collected, analysed and used.
Digital sovereignty, BIM and Digital Twins also played an important role throughout the day. The presentations showed how connected data, digital models and new platform approaches can help make planning, construction and infrastructure processes more efficient, transparent and future-ready.
On the MAIN Stage, topics including Digital Twins, Sensors & Monitoring, AI Integration and Reality Capturingtook centre stage. The programme was complemented by the WGIC Industry Panel “Data to Decision”, which focused on how geospatial data can be transformed into reliable and actionable decisions.
The Real Estate Lab also brought the real estate sector into focus, exploring how geospatial data, standards and digital solutions can open up new possibilities for valuation, planning and the exchange of building-related information.
Alongside the many presentations and sessions, Day 2 once again offered plenty of opportunities for personal exchange, new connections and discussions about the latest technologies, applications and challenges facing the industry.
Another eventful day has come to a close, and we are already looking forward to Day 3 of INTERGEO 2026 and further exciting insights into the future of the geospatial industry.
