Day 1 of INTERGEO 2026
The first day brought together the international geospatial community for a day filled with inspiring conversations, exciting product launches, forward-looking technologies and plenty of opportunities to experience innovation firsthand.
Across the EXPO and CONFERENCE, experts, companies and industry leaders came together to discuss the technologies and developments that are shaping the future of the geospatial sector. From GNSS, LiDAR and aerial surveying to 3D visualization, GIS, mobile mapping and AEC workflows, Day 1 offered a broad look at the solutions that are already transforming the way we capture, understand and use spatial data.
One of the major highlights was the Reality Capturing Experience Park powered by NavVis in Hall C5. Here, Reality Capturing moved beyond theory and became something visitors could experience directly. Live demonstrations showed how real-world spaces, objects and infrastructure can be captured using technologies such as mobile mapping, laser scanning and imaging – and how this data is transformed into point clouds, 3D models and Digital Twins.
The Experience Park offered visitors the opportunity to see, test and compare different technologies and workflows in a hands-on environment. From data acquisition to the final digital result, it demonstrated how Reality Capturing can support real-world applications in construction, infrastructure, industry, cities and asset management.
The Reality Capturing Hub added another dimension to the topic. Through live demos, talks and practical applications, visitors could explore how drones, laser scanning and AI are used to create precise digital representations of buildings, construction sites, infrastructure and entire environments. It provided a space to discover technologies, exchange ideas with experts and understand how Reality Capturing is becoming an essential foundation for Digital Twins, 3D visualization and data-driven decision-making.
Beyond the technology, Day 1 was above all about exchange and connection. The exhibition halls were filled with conversations between users, technology providers, researchers and decision-makers, while exhibitors presented new products, solutions and applications to an international audience.
After an inspiring first day, we are already looking forward to Day 2 of INTERGEO 2026 – with more ideas, insights, innovations and opportunities to connect across the geospatial community.
