Day 2 of INTERGEO 2026 in Munich is all about the technologies, applications, and questions shaping the future of the geospatial industry.
On the MAIN Stage, in the APPLICATION Dome, and across the CONFERENCE, today's program puts the spotlight on the topics defining what's next: GeoAI, Digital Twins, Reality Capturing, sensor technology and monitoring, geoinformation, and data-driven decision-making.
The program of the MAIN Stage ranges from Science & Geoinnovation to Digital Twin applications and intelligent monitoring solutions, all the way to the latest developments in Reality Capturing. As Trimble's Aviad Almogore and Hexagon's Burkhard Boeckem put it in yesterday's keynotes, AI is turning the geospatial industry from one that captures and records data into one that reasons about the world and acts on it. Today's sessions build directly on that: it's not just about new technologies, but about how ever-growing volumes of data turn into concrete, reliable, and practice-relevant results.
📢 A key highlight of the day is the INTERGEO 2026 press conference:
"The real world. Real data. Real decisions. The next generation of geoinformation."
MAIN Stage, Hall B5
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Attendees include Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rudolf Staiger (DVW e.V.), Marko Prisky (Esri Germany), Bernhard Richter (Hexagon Geomatics), Ralf Mosler (Autodesk), Boris Skopljak (Trimble), and Olaf Freier (HINTE Expo & Conference), moderated by Christopher Wirtgen. Together, they'll discuss the current challenges, technological developments, and perspectives shaping the geospatial industry.
Another key session on the MAIN Stage is the WGIC Industry Panel, "Data to Decisions: Unlocking the Value of Geospatial Intelligence," focused on how companies turn vast amounts of geo and location data into concrete insights and better decisions through analytics, AI, and Digital Twins.
The APPLICATION Dome keeps the focus on practical application, with best practices, real-world use cases, and solutions showing how geodata and geospatial technologies are already creating value across industries.
In the afternoon, Reality Capturing takes center stage, exploring how modern capture, sensor, and software technologies come together into seamless workflows — from field data collection to a usable project outcome.
Use Day 2 to dive deeper into the topics, ask questions, discover new perspectives, and connect with the international geospatial community.
We're looking forward to another day full of knowledge, innovation, and exchange at INTERGEO 2026.
