Munich, 17 September 2026. INTERGEO 2026 concluded successfully in Munich today, bringing three days of exchange and innovation at the heart of the international geospatial community to a close. More than18,600 visitors from 121 countries, over 530 exhibitors from 44 countries and 1,250 INTERGEO CONFERENCE participants from 46 countries came together at INTERGEO 2026.
The focus was on technologies and applications that are becoming increasingly interconnected: artificial intelligence, and GeoAI in particular, digital twins, reality capture, Earth Observation, BIM and connected geospatialdata infrastructures. These technologies are fundamentally changing how infrastructure is planned, cities are developed, resources are protected, the built environment is captured and complex developments areunderstood.
INTERGEO 2026 made one thing clear: the geospatial industry has entered a new phase of application. AI, precise geospatial data and digital representations of the real world are converging into connected systems and workflows. Technological possibilities are becoming practical tools for business, government, science and society.
INTERGEO CONFERENCE: Where Future Knowledge Meets Real-World Application
Featuring more than 100 speakers, this year’s INTERGEO CONFERENCE demonstrated the remarkable breadth of geospatial applications today. A particular highlight was the keynote by Jack Dangermond, Founder and President of Esri, entitled “GIS – Creating a More Intelligent World”. It explored how GIS can help us better understand complex interrelationships and enable informed decision-making for a more sustainable and resilient future.
For the first time, the Conference Opening and keynotes were open to all ticket holders, creating a shared opening for both the INTERGEO EXPO and CONFERENCE.
AI, digital twins, BIM, Earth Observation, geospatial data infrastructures, and surveying and positioning technologies spanned the spectrum from scientific research to practical applications in infrastructure, publicadministration, climate adaptation and urban development.
The Frontiers of Geodetic Science (FroGS) also provided an international platform for early-career researchers in geodesy.

INTERGEO EXPO: Experience Technology, Understand Applications
The Expo provided a first-hand view of technological advances across the geospatial industry. New solutions for reality capture, surveying and positioning, GeoAI and digital twins demonstrated how rapidly emergingtechnologies are being adopted in real-world applications.
Sensors, software, cloud technologies and AI are increasingly being integrated into end-to-end workflows: data is captured, processed, shared and analysed – and made available ever more rapidly wherever it is needed for specific processes and applications.
The “Reality Capturing Experience Parc” brought the connection between the physical and digital worlds to life. The “Real Estate Lab” brought together the geospatial and real estate industries.
